Our Accomplishments To Date:


  • Partnering with Regions Hospital, Firefighters (age 40 and older), go through the “Cardiac Risk Assessment” for early detection of heart disease. December 2011 and ongoing
  • Received from Med Compass Mobile Health Services, a spirometry system, which is used to test firefighters’ lung functions.  The system includes a laptop computer, spirometric sensor and calibration apparatus. April, 2012
  • Purchased and placed nine AEDs in Saint Paul Elementary Schools including: American Indian Magnet/World Cultures, Hazel Park Preparatory Academy, Barack and Michelle Obama Service Learning Elementary, Bruce F. Vento Elementary, Rondo Complex – Ben Mays and Museum Magnet, (2) John A. Johnson Elementary, Dayton’s Bluff Achievement Plus Elementary, Paul and Sheila Wellstone Elementary.  August, 2012
  • Purchased and placed ten AEDs in Saint Paul Parks & Recreation Centers.  August, 2012
  • Partnered with the Minnesota Resuscitation Consortium, United Hospital Foundation and Saint Paul Fire to purchase and place thirteen LUCAS mechanical CPR devices in the Saint Paul Fire medic rigs.  Fall, 2012
  • Provided “Greenline” stainless fiber optic intubation kits (laryngoscopes) for the thirteen Saint Paul Fire medic rigs.  July, 2013
  • Purchased first 1,000 flags for the 7,000+ fire hydrants in the City of St. Paul with installation in progress.  Goal of flagging all 7,000 hydrants is 3-5 years.  October, 2013
  • Provided new work-out equipment for Stations 4, 5 and 20.  Fall, 2013
  • Provided 20 custom-made Class-A Uniforms for the Local 21 Honor Guards.  Fall, 2014
  • Partnered with SPFD on 2-day Children’s Safety Camp for Inner City Kids.  Summer, 2015
  • Partnered with St. Paul Fire Local 21 Color Guard and installed 63 Line of Duty Death permanent markers at each of the 63 locations where the Firefighter lost their life.  Summer, 2015
  • Awarded first 7 Scholarships to Firefighters to go toward degreed and non-degreed fire related courses. Fall, 2015
  • Donated a Cardiac Science Powerheart G3 AED to “Engine/Boat 15”. Summer, 2015
  • Donated $3,000 to SPFD Local 21 “Operation Warm” program, to assure school children receive American made winter coats.  Fall, 2015
  • Donated $30,000 to the Department of Human Rights Equal Economic Opportunity (HREEO) for the EMS Academy. Winter, 2015
  • Purchased a Ford E350 Type II BLS Ambulance 51/Bariatric Unit for the SPFD. Winter, 2015
